Green smoothies are my favorite ways to start my day. It fuels and fills me up, and cleans and energizes my body. This recipe was an accidental creation. My husband just happened to throw all this into the blender not really knowing what to expect. Little did we think that it would become such a hit. So now this is the official Live Simply Natural Green Energy Smoothie Blast.
LSN’s Green Smoothie Energy Blast
The ingredients in this smoothie go great together, I think I’ve had it every day this week. I swear I’m about one green smoothie away from turning green myself. Hulk green! Just kidding, but this smoothie is our favorite at the moment. We even had it for dinner one night, just because I was feeling lazy and needed a break from cooking as this is a great meal replacement.
We use it often for when we are out going out and don’t want to be stuck hungry somewhere with no options to eat. Plus it’s full of Kale which is great for detoxifying the body. The health benefits of kale are immense. Be sure to incorporate it into your diet. Your body with thank you for it!
Health Benefits of Green Smoothies
Rich in beta-carotene (vitamin A), a powerful antioxidant that helps boost the immune system and possibly protect against some chronic diseases and cancer.  The kale in this recipe is one of the few greens with a good amount of calcium and it’s especially high in magnesium.  This promotes a healthy heart and long-lasting energy. Just one cup contains 40% of the recommended daily allowance of calcium, which is very important for bone health and to protect against osteoporosis. It also contains 10% of the recommended amount of omega-3 fatty acids, which helps fight against arthritis, asthma, and autoimmune diseases.  And to top it off it is also high in iron, which is essential for good health and the formation of enzymes, which help transport oxygen to various parts of the body.

Ingredients
- 4 Bananas
- 4 kale leaves
- 1/2 cucumber
- 2–4 dates
- 1 tbs peanut butter or almond butter
- 2 tbs flax seeds or chia seeds
- 2 tbs Hemp seeds
- 2 tbs cocoa nibs/ powder
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Add all ingredients into your high speed blender (I used my vitamix).
- Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour and Enjoy!
Notes
I like to use 1 cup water and 1 cup ice or if you dont have ice then just use frozen bananas to give it a nice chill.
